Scientists from the United States analyzed 2,572 cases of COVID-19 in children and adolescents. To date, this is the largest sample in the age group from zero to 17 years. However, not all patients had complete data, for example, information about hospitalization was known only in 745 cases. Nevertheless, the study allows us to understand at what age children are most vulnerable, what symptoms they have and how many of the young patients are seriously ill.
